The Arbailles Massif is located between Basse-Navarre and Pays de Soule, in the heart of the Basque Country, northwest of the Karst of La Pierre Saint-Martin.
It is a medium mountain massif dominated by a few peaks rarely exceeding 1,200 meters in altitude, the highest point being at 1,286 meters. The average altitude is around 800 meters.
Beech and chestnut trees populate the Massif des Arbailles. It is a karstic landscape, characterized by land collapses, numerous caves and sinkholes. The Massif des Arbailles also shelters a quite remarkable fauna and flora.
